Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
Last updated: August 13, 2026
1. Controller
The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website is:
ShortN
support@shortn.info
2. Data we process
Depending on how you use the service, we may process account data (email, username), authentication data, license and device identifiers (including HWID), order and payment metadata from providers (Stripe / NOWPayments), support messages, newsletter email if you subscribe, and technical logs (IP address, browser, timestamps).
3. Purposes
We process data to provide the store, accounts, licenses, launcher downloads, support, billing, fraud prevention, security, and — only with consent — analytics and session replay.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract), Art. 6(1)(c) (legal obligations), Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interests such as security and abuse prevention), and Art. 6(1)(a) (consent) for optional analytics, replay, and newsletter.
5. Cookies & similar technologies
Essential cookies are required for login, security, and preferences (for example theme and language). Analytics and session replay cookies/scripts load only after you accept in the consent banner.
You can change analytics consent anytime via Cookie settings in the site footer.
6. Analytics (OpenPanel)
If you accept analytics, we use a self-hosted OpenPanel instance to measure page views, events, and optionally session replay. Replay is configured so password fields remain masked. You can withdraw consent at any time.
7. Newsletter (Listmonk)
If you subscribe, we store your email in our self-hosted Listmonk instance to send product and status updates. Double opt-in may apply. You can unsubscribe via the link in every email.
8. Payment processors
Payments are handled by Stripe and/or NOWPayments. We do not store full card numbers. Those providers process payment data under their own privacy policies as independent or joint controllers / processors as applicable.
9. Retention
We keep account, license, and invoice-related data for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal retention duties. Support messages and logs are kept only as long as necessary for the purpose, then deleted or anonymized.
10. Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and object to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it anytime. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
